Dear Journal,

Today was my last day in the hospital! Dr. Boyer came pretty early to check on mommy. She said mommy was doing great and that we could go home as soon as my doctor came to see me! He must have been busy because we had to wait about 3 more hours to see him.

While we waited daddy practiced his “football hold” and we took more pictures.

Finally Dr. Roscoe came and gave me the thumbs up around lunch time. Yay! We can go home…

but wait, mommy and daddy said we weren’t going to go home?!?

They told me that St. Francis was super cool and gives parents the option of staying in a hotel room instead of going home the first night. Mommy and daddy weren’t sure at first if they wanted to do this, but decided it might be nice to stay somewhere else so mommy and daddy didn’t have to worry about the house, the pets, etc. Instead they could just enjoy me!

The hotel is so cool! It has a little living room, a kitchen, and a back bedroom. They even let me take my little bed on wheels from the hospital for the night. What fun!!

After we checked in daddy went to BJ’s Brewhouse and got lunch for him and mommy (and a growler of daddy’s favorite beverage). Mommy told me that was the same restaurant they went to eat at the night they found out they were going to have me. Awwww!

We took an afternoon nap and then spent more time together. Then they had pizza delivered to our room. Everything was great until about 12am. That’s when I woke up for my feeding. Well, surprise! Mommy’s milk finally decided to come in and it came in way too fast! She was in a lot of pain and I couldn’t even eat. Daddy had to run home at 2am to get some big pump thing at home for mommy. After that mommy felt much better and I was able to have my midnight dinner a few hours late! I can’t wait to go home tomorrow!
