Dear Journal,

Cookies, cookies, cookies!

Mommy got together with her friends for their annual cookie exchange and I got to go with them.  Guess what...I was cranky!  It's been so fun having mommy home from work for the holidays that I got super attached. She would leave the room and I would start crying.  Sorry mom, I just love you so much!

Check out these cookies!

This picture is a little shaky because mommy was trying to stop me from grabbing some goodies!

Good thing my Godmother was there to keep me in check!

Dear Journal,

Woo Hoo...another birthday party! I am getting good at these!

Today we are celebrating my friend McKenna turning one year old!  She got to wear a pretty tutu and eat a giant cupcake for her birthday. I wore a cupcake on my shirt, thinking maybe my mommy would get the hint and let me eat one at the party. No luck.

Happy Birthday McKenna!

Dear Journal,

I got to spend a little time with Grandma and Grandpa this morning before they left. Daddy was no where to be seen....something about "Black Friday" and going to work at 3:30am.

Grandpa showed me his phone

Ha ha! He fell for my trick.I look so sweet an innocent but I will trick anyone so they will give me something to put in my mouth.

He nicknamed me "Oinky" after that.  Love you grandma and grandpa...thanks for coming!

Dear Journal,

As my daddy would say, "GOBBLE GOBBLE!".  I knew I was going to get to see my cousins today, but I didn't realize I was going to get to see Grandma and Grandpa Lister too.  What a fun surprise!  I am so thankful for my family.  I couldn't think of a better first Thanksgiving.  I'm going to stop blabbing and show you my day in pictures. Here are some of my favorites...

Trying to rest up before things got too crazy (this reminds me of the picture I took with Grandma Harasim a few weeks ago when she came to visit!)

Hanging out with my cousin Megan (I was still in my pajamas! How embarassing!)

Thought it was time to get dolled up in my turkey gear...

I'm so thankful...

More people making food I can't eat...

I love it when Megan plays with me...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Dear Journal,

Mommy's been cleaning the house all day...I think people are coming over tomorrow to eat that big old bird in our refrigerator.  Don't worry mommy, I'll keep a look out to see who's coming.

Dear Journal,

Today I discovered a few things....

First, I REALLY like remote controls!

Then I learned that I can roll off my mat. In fact, I can roll all around the floor. I have been doing it all day long!!

So cool!

Happy Birthday Maya!

Dear Journal,

Today was a sad day. My teacher Miss Ashley is moving this weekend so it was her last day to spend with me.  She has taken care of me since I first started my "school".  I will miss her a whole lot!

Good luck Miss Ashley!

Dear Journal,

Remember my awesome family pictures from September? Well Miss Ashley came to our house today to take my 6 month pictures.

We took a few family pictures.

Then I posed for a few holiday shots of my own.

I borrowed my friend McKenna's hat and got some very chic shots.

I wore my Bartok and Coppola shirt for a few pics with my dogs.

I took a little time out to rest (so did Bartok and Coppola).

I did a quick ode to Canada.

Then I got worn out and said "no more pictures"!

Dear Journal,

I am six months old today! That's half a year old! Where did the time go?!?

Here's what I am up to these days....
-Now that I sit up on my own I pick up everything in reach and love to put things in my mouth!
-I now go to bed between 6:30-7:30 (the time change last week threw me off schedule!)
-I usually take a bath, read a book, eat, and then fall asleep watching tv on the couch with mom and dad.  I have started falling asleep leaning and laying on Bartok on the couch....he loves it!
-I still wear size 3 diapers
-I wear 3-6 month clothes but some are getting a little tight. This week I tried some 6-9 month clothes on and they are still a little big, but I can wear them!
-I am starting to eat two "real" meals a day. One at lunch and one at dinner. I still get four bottles a day (5:30, 11:00, 3:30, 6:30)
-I have tried bananas, apples, pears, peaches, rice cereal, sweet potato, squash, carrots, green beans, and peas
-I love to hear my voice and like to babble ma-ma, and ba-ba....they still don't mean anything to me yet. Daddy is still working on da-da.
-My teachers at "school" are Miss Ashley, Miss Karen, and Miss Buleah. They say I am a gold star student  and that I am very well behaved. I love them!
-I love reading books with my mom and dad. My current favorites are Llama llama Red Pajama and If you Give a Mouse a Cookie. I also love little board books and plush books that I can chew on.
-I gave up my pacifier this month. I just started not using it. Sometimes when I am falling asleep I like to hold it in my hand and chew on the side of it, but that's about it! (But don't worry, I still love to suck on my pointer and middle finger).
-Mommy and daddy think I am the greatest baby in the world!

Dear Journal,

Today was a special day. I got baptised at St. Barnabus Church!   My godmother is Karen White who is one of mommy's good friends. My godfather Steve Bier is one of daddy's good friends.  It was such a fun day.

I spent the morning with mommy, daddy, and Grandma and Grandpa Harasim.  I got to dress up in my fancy white dress from my Great Aunt Cindy, Nikki, and Great Grandma Lister.

We went to church around 10:30 and guess who was there?  Grandma and Grandpa Lister, Godfather Steve and his family and Godmother Karen and her husband. They all came for me!

After mass we stuck around and mommy changed me into another pretty dress.  Mommy told me it was the same dress she wore 31 years ago at HER baptism.  Cool!

There was a special ceremony and a priest came around and made a cross on my forehead. I decided about that time I was sleepy.

I fell asleep and kind of woke up when I felt water on my head....didn't that priest know that I already had a bath?

Then I got a special bib and Godfather Steve lit a candle. Father Tony came around and put a cross on my forehead again.

Everyone at church said I looked pretty cute.

Then we got to go back to the house and PARTY!  It was fun to have all four of my grandparents there.

Everyone came over and we ate lots of great food.  I changed into my Colts cheerleader outfit and got to play while everyone had a great time.  (Look, I'm smiling for the camera!)

I'm so lucky to have such great people in my life. I got a lot of really nice gifts and just had a great time.

I was so happy that everyone was there that I barely even got to take a nap.  Even after people left I stayed up to play with my Noah's Ark gift from Grandma and Grandpa Lister. I sure am tired now!  I can hardly keep my eyes open!

What a special day! Thanks to everyone who shared it with me!

Dear Journal,

Good news. I think I just ate too much yesterday. I feel much better today.  Mommy and daddy were busy running errands all morning long!  Then I got visitors. Grandma and Grandpa Harasim came to visit me. I was so excited! I just loved playing with them. When I got too tired to play Grandma held me until I fell asleep. It was so nice!

I went to bed and everyone else kept getting ready for my big day tomorrow. I'm not sure what exactly is happening, but mommy baked me a cake tonight (and daddy baked me one of his world famous cheesecakes!).

I can't wait to see what all this fuss is about and what is going to happen tomorrow!

Dear Journal,

Wow! It's getting cold outside! I was born in May so I've never been around when the temperature has been this cold.  Good thing I have a carseat snuggie.  I just love peeking my head out of it!

Mommy and daddy have been busy getting ready for my baptism this weekend.  They went to Meijer tonight and my tummy sure hurt! I tried to keep it to myself, but I got really sick while they were checking out. It took them almost an entire roll of paper towel to wipe my face and shirt off.  Then I kept getting sick on the way home.  When we finally got home I had to get a bath and so did my carseat.  I sure hope I don't have the flu bug going around school. It's my big weekend, I can't be sick!!
